The Man Behind the Cemetery

The Caretaker

Some may know him as Matt Knowles, others The Caretaker of the Carriage Way Cemetery. Matt is the sole designer and builder of nearly everything you see in the cemetery. The gravestones, the fountain, the characters big and small are conceived and created from his mind. Even the iconic Home Depot skeletons have been painted to fit into the cemetery he's created.

A long-standing member of the Portland Metro Haunter Community, Matt has contributed to events and organizations such as the Creatures of the Night, the West Linn Haunted Trail, and even taught courses at the West Coast Haunters Convention.
